We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our People & Safety team at BC Ferries. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting workforce data to drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business partners to understand key business priorities and curate actionable people metrics and insights
- Design, develop, and maintain self-service dashboards and scalable analytics solutions for business leaders and people operations
- Build relational data models and dashboard reports in select platforms (Oracle, Power BI, etc.)
- Support the overall accuracy, integrity, and governance of our people systems and data
- Prepare and present data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes to senior business leaders
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve data collection processes, analysis methods, and reporting tools
- Implement best practices in data management and analysis to enhance the overall effectiveness of people operations
- Compile, analyze, and submit people data to comply with internal and external reporting or other legislative people requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- 3-5 years' experience in a data-focused role, preferably in a people or scheduling function
- 3-5 years' experience interpreting collective agreements with a thorough understanding of the correlation between compensation, total rewards, talent acquisition, payroll, time & attendance, onboarding, lifecycle transactions, scheduling, and reporting
BC Ferries is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, including a target salary range of $81,100 - $101,300 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience, and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on an exceptional basis.
