Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Food Preparation and Quality Control
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that they are ordered and received in a timely manner.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure that food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Ensure that food is prepared and served in accordance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Customer Service and Relations
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure that customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Administrative and Financial Tasks
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to management.
- Prepare and submit budget and cost estimates to management.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, and sales.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
