Position Overview

The Senior Media Planner at Dentsu Media will take on a pivotal role in managing daily operations for designated accounts. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the client's media landscape, alongside their broader business and marketing objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the team in crafting strategic and tactical media plans while supporting the buying team for assigned accounts.
  • Identifies growth opportunities for team members to help them achieve their performance targets.
  • Utilizes various tools to formulate strategic communication plans that align with execution strategies and buying structures to meet campaign objectives.
  • Coordinates with partner agencies to outline strategic implementation requirements and the roles of specific communication channels.
  • Collaborates with leadership to grasp market dynamics (pricing, execution opportunities) and enhance vendor partnerships.
  • Formulates media strategy recommendations and delivers buying structures that optimize the best environments for each client's target demographic, ensuring maximum value and efficiency.
  • Prepares comprehensive reporting for clients, illustrating the strategies and rationale employed to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Works alongside Traffic Launch and Campaign Delivery teams to guarantee seamless execution of media plans.
  • Contributes to overarching campaign strategies and explores avenues for improving and optimizing campaign performance to meet client objectives.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in media planning and/or buying across various channels including Video, Display, Social, Programmatic, Broadcast, Print, and Out of Home.
  • Familiarity with bid management, campaign management, and optimization processes with key data, supply, and DSP partners.
  • Experience in people management, with the capability to lead, coach, develop, and retain top talent while addressing performance issues.
  • Strong confidence and ability to manage expectations with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a proficiency in numbers and budgeting to assess campaign outcomes.
  • High-level MS Office skills, particularly in Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
Additional Information

The compensation for this role ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, with actual salary determined by various factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
