Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Transformation Leader/Consultant to assist prominent clients in the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of extensive cloud transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in cloud computing, software development, program oversight, and strategic execution. This position will collaborate closely with senior management to ensure that cloud strategies align with organizational goals and yield substantial business benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate cloud transformation strategy workshops with stakeholders to outline project scope, objectives, budget, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Assume full accountability for all facets of the program, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Oversee the comprehensive processes involved in cloud transformation, ensuring coordination among various teams and a unified approach across the organization.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ready to implement contingency strategies to minimize program impact.
  • Design large-scale cloud architectures that fulfill the intricate requirements of the business while adhering to industry standards.
  • Develop and manage a detailed program plan encompassing all elements of the cloud transformation, including infrastructure, applications, security, and compliance.
  • Supervise the execution of cloud transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights on cloud technologies and shaping best practices within the cloud sector.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to comprehend their strategic aims and translate these into actionable cloud transformation projects.
  • Navigate organizational dynamics and manage change effectively, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal adoption of new cloud solutions.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks and processes to guide the program and facilitate informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Monitor and manage vendor partnerships, ensuring services and solutions meet contractual obligations and deliver maximum value.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all key stakeholders, from executives to technical teams and vendors.
  • Strive to build consensus among diverse interests and address concerns to maintain alignment on strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to drive effective organizational change management, ensuring seamless adaptation to new processes and technologies.
  • Possess a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, digital strategies, software engineering excellence, user experience, product management, and development.
  • Foster a program culture that prioritizes continuous improvement, soliciting stakeholder feedback, and refining processes.
  • Mentor and develop internal talent in cloud technologies and transformation methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional certifications in cloud architecture and project management such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, PMP, etc.
  • At least 15 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 8 years dedicated to cloud computing in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven history of leading successful large-scale cloud transformation initiatives in complex enterprise settings.
  • Background in Enterprise/Solutions architecture for cloud transformation efforts.
  • Experience in Data Strategy, Master Data Management in applications, and data migrations to the cloud.
  • Strong understanding of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in infrastructure automation, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to influence without direct authority and navigate intricate political landscapes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and stakeholders.
