Borea Construction is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our team in the development of solar and wind farm projects. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D drawings of road conception and ensuring the accuracy of survey data.
Key Responsibilities- Produce 2D and 3D drawings of future solar and wind farm projects
- Perform quantity calculations and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Work closely with the Estimation team and Engineers to ensure project accuracy
- Prepare sketches and notes, and perform electronic data collection
- Process field data, coordinate field staff, and interface with CAD group
- Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools as required
- Operate GPS and robotic surveying devices and work with road building software as required
- Perform the staking of the elements of the projects as required
- Survey the elements for the as-built as required
- Hold a professional diploma in drafting (DEP), a civil engineering technique, or any other relevant education
- Technical certifications/card/diploma required according to the laws and regulations of the work location
- 3 to 5 years of relevant construction industry experience
- Mastery of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Google Earth, Bluebeam, and MS Office software
- Knowledge of AutoTURN software (an asset)
- Knowledge of ArcGIS software (an asset)
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a team and good oral and written communication skills
- A keen eye to details and ability to solve problems
- Capacity to work in high-stress environments managing multiple projects at different stages of construction
- Ability to work on remote sites (an asset)
