About the Role

Career Coordinators is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balances and statistical reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, as well as maintain accurate records of tax-related documents.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Simply Accounting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
