Position Overview

CB Canada is seeking a Senior Information Management Architect to support a significant IT Transformation initiative for the Government of Canada. This project aims to modernize the IT infrastructure and enhance service delivery across various government departments.

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Assessing current capabilities and requirements, designing improved frameworks, and identifying areas for enhanced integration. Creating and documenting comprehensive statements of requirements.
  • Reviewing existing processes, documenting database structures, and developing a data dictionary.
  • Defining and documenting the interfaces between manual and automated operations across application subsystems and external systems.
  • Prototyping potential solutions, providing trade-off analyses, and recommending actionable strategies.
  • Conducting information modeling to support Business Process Reengineering (BPR) efforts.
  • Performing cost-benefit analyses for the implementation of new processes and solutions.
  • Advising on the development and integration of process and information models to eliminate redundancies.
  • Identifying new requirements and opportunities for effective solutions, including preliminary cost assessments.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance organizational capabilities.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of a three-year college diploma in computer science or a related IT field, or a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a similar discipline.
  • At least ten years of professional experience in the IT sector.
  • Possession of a valid Secret Clearance issued by PWGSC-CISD.
  • Experience in a multi-government stakeholder environment, including multi-vendor and multi-client interactions.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale transformation projects.
  • Strong communication skills with experience advising senior executives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 initiatives.
  • Experience in projects valued over $50 million.
  • Ability to develop presentation materials and governance reports for executive stakeholders.
