About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Scan Items: Effectively scan products, manage inventory, and maintain a high level of accuracy in the scanning process.
  • Tabulate Total Payment: Calculate and collect payment from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Receive Payment: Handle customer payments, process returns, and provide refunds as needed.
  • Provide Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Maintain a secure environment by monitoring all entrances and exits, and requesting proof of payment when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.
Work Environment
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
