Job Title: Solutions Architect

At IBM Computing, we're looking for a skilled Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to solve complex business problems using our Data and AI product portfolio.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Design and implement solutions to solve business problems using our Data and AI product portfolio.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with clients to understand their needs and develop technical designs.
  • Analyze existing processes and convert business needs into technical designs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market directions, and stakeholder needs to provide effective solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Direct experience in products and technologies such as Watsonx.ai, Watsonx.data, Watsonx.governance, Watson Assistant, Watson Discovery, LLM, AI, and Data Fabric portfolio.
  • Proficient with capacity planning, scalability, performance, and load testing concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of integration and commonly used patterns, able to apply such knowledge in solution design.
  • Experience or strong knowledge of SaaS, Hybrid Cloud, Linux/Unix/Windows.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience working with IBM complementary products such as IBM Cloud Packs, Watsonx, Business Analytics, Data Sources, and ETL.
  • Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and deploying container applications.
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies.
  • Strong experience working with senior IT and non-IT executives.
Location Statement

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
