About the Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for managing critical customer issues while also providing support to our other technical teams. You will join a global team dedicated to offering 24/7 support, assisting customers in transitioning to Google Cloud seamlessly. When customers face challenges that they cannot resolve independently, you will ensure that we have the necessary tools and processes in place for swift resolution.

In this position, you will address technical issues for customers through a combination of debugging, networking, system administration, documentation updates, and, when necessary, coding/scripting. Our Technical Solutions team prioritizes customer needs, and you will play a vital role in advancing the success of Google Cloud by understanding and advocating for our customers' concerns. You may be required to work in a shift pattern or during non-standard hours as needed.

Google Cloud enhances every organization's capacity to digitally transform its operations and industry. We provide enterprise-grade solutions that utilize Google's innovative technology and tools that empower developers to build more sustainably. Customers across more than 200 countries and territories rely on Google Cloud as their trusted partner to foster growth and address their most pressing business challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers on their production Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)/Anthos deployments to troubleshoot issues and ensure product readiness, availability, and scalability.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Google Cloud GKE/Anthos product technology and its underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and identifying the root causes of customer-reported issues, developing tools, and facilitating quicker diagnosis.
  • Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in sales and customer organizations to overcome technical deployment challenges and enhance Google Cloud.
  • Participate as part of a team of developers/consultants that globally ensures round-the-clock customer support, which may require working non-standard hours or weekends.
  • Comprehend customer issues, advocate for their needs with internal teams, including Product and Engineering teams, to identify ways to enhance the product and drive production.
