Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will engage with retail pharmacy and institutional clients who utilize various digital platforms within the McKesson ecosystem. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and McKesson Technology, you will be responsible for guiding business stakeholders in shaping, prioritizing, and executing the roadmap and daily digital product initiatives that enhance the B2B customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve a deep understanding of the services offered by McKesson Canada to retail and institutional clients, allowing you to become a domain expert and advocate for the digital customer experience. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Articulating the product vision and business requirements to the McKesson Technology Product Management and Development teams.
  2. Defining objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to foster a data-driven culture, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative analysis for informed product decisions.
  3. Leading the requirements gathering process and consulting with internal stakeholders to identify customer needs.
  4. Collaborating with internal teams and partners to achieve business objectives and ensure customer success.
  5. Assisting in the creation of prototypes and mock-ups, working closely with Product UX/Design.
  6. Facilitating validation sessions with internal users and external clients.
  7. Documenting user stories and new features for implementation.
  8. Maintaining and refining the product backlog in partnership with the McKesson Technology Product Manager.
  9. Engaging with the product team in their practices and participating in the estimation of user stories.
  10. Attending scrum meetings and contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
  11. Writing acceptance criteria and participating in the evaluation of product enhancements.
  12. Showcasing the latest iterations to internal stakeholders and customers to gather feedback.
  13. Conducting customer, internal, and competitive research.
  14. Participating in product usability research with customers and internal stakeholders.
  15. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, privacy, security, account management/sales, procurement, communications, engineering, analytics, product development, and other business stakeholders to advance the product roadmap and journey.
  16. Utilizing existing tools and identifying new ones to enhance engagement with McKesson Technology development teams and partners.

Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of experience in product management or business analysis, or equivalent.
  2. Bilingual proficiency (English/French) is an asset.
  3. Familiarity with product development processes.
  4. Experience in product usability practices and knowledge of user-centered design principles.
  5. Experience in agile methodologies, with flexibility to adapt to waterfall approaches.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage uncertainties effectively.
  7. Self-motivated with the capability to work with minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to navigate a complex landscape of various technology platforms.
  9. Customer-centric mindset focused on enhancing the customer journey.
  10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Proficient in clearly conveying product vision and expected outcomes.
  12. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different internal groups and customer types.
  13. Strong interpersonal skills.
  14. Professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling projects at all organizational levels.
  15. Understanding of design quality standards.
  16. Meticulous attention to detail.
  17. Strong analytical capabilities.
  18. Technical and/or development experience, with in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development methodologies.
  19. Previous experience in retail operations or healthcare is advantageous.
  20. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
  21. Ability to collaborate within teams of varying sizes and cross-functional environments.
  22. A strong understanding of the McKesson business ecosystem is beneficial but not mandatory.
