Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team at NA Freight Forwarding Inc. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of scheduled and demand cycle counts in our warehouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily cycle counts and reconciliation of cycle counts performed by direct reports.
  • Develop and implement a schedule of cycle counts to be performed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Audit inventory records to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports to management on cycle count results and audit findings.
  • Communicate with management on cycle count differences, internal control problems, and inventory control issues.
  • Reconcile warehouse inventory on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure inventory scrapping and write-off procedures are followed.
  • Test and implement cycle count modules.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in updating dimensions and weights for all materials in the database.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Logistics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in inventory cycle count/inventory control in a 3PL environment.
  • Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of cycle count procedures and inventory control principles.
  • Working knowledge of inventory programs and MS Office.
  • Experience working with RF Scanners.
  • 2+ years of experience operating Forklifts with a valid license.
  • Knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to ISO procedures is considered an asset.
