About the Role

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Transfer Credit Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Office of the Faculty Registrar, you will play a critical role in evaluating courses from other academic institutions for transfer credit purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate domestic and foreign academic documents to assess credentials against University equivalencies
  2. Review and assess student requests to attend other Universities on Letters of Permission
  3. Track departmental transfer assessment decisions
  4. Apply established standards to ensure adherence with transfer credit rules and guidelines
  5. Provide consultation and advice on the application of University policies and procedures
  6. Oversee the data collection and analysis processes
  7. Implement plans and process improvements for records administration activities
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  2. Minimum four years of recent and related experience working in a registrar department, with demonstrated knowledge of educational systems and international credential assessment
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international post-secondary educational systems
  4. Experience analyzing domestic and foreign academic documents
  5. Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in transfer credit and enrolment
  6. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of applying University policy and procedures
  7. Demonstrated experience and ability with developing and maintaining web-based information and applications
  8. Demonstrated experience with various systems, including database and spreadsheet applications
  9. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (both verbal and written), with proven ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  10. Excellent judgement and analytical skills
  11. Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  12. Demonstrated ability using databases/spread sheets
  13. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  14. Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  15. Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
