Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at McDonald's restaurant. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate the ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage Records and Reports: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Supervise and Check Assembly: Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that they are prepared to the highest standards.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, noisy, hot.
- Work Setting: On-site customer service, restaurant.

- Support for Veterans: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans, provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans, assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans, supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market, and offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
- Support for Indigenous People: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers, offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload, and offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
