School Meals Program Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Meals Program Coordinator. This role is responsible for purchasing groceries, assembling prepared foods and beverages, and delivering lunches to classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase groceries and prepare meals in accordance with Food Safe requirements
  • Compile student meal lists and ensure allergy requirements are met
  • Deliver lunches to classrooms and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform administrative tasks, including record-keeping and submitting monies received
  • Collaborate with the Site Administrative Officer and District Health and Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalency
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Class 5 Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Experience in a similar role considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
