Job Summary

NuEdge Communications Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Installation: Install and configure cable modems and software to enable Internet access for our customers.
  • Cable Maintenance: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to identify and repair faults.
  • Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Test and Service Reports: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to document work completed.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, and dependable.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, installation, urban area, rural area, various locations.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence, vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel.
