About the Job

We are seeking a Financial Controller for our client, a general manager specializing in multi-residential construction, based in the Montreal region. The successful candidate will join the company's accounting team and be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and truthfulness of financial operations for all entities held.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the complete accounting cycle.
  • Manage the monthly closing process.
  • Ensure the management and tracking of cash flows.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and construction projects.
  • Prepare year-end files for external accountants.
  • Produce self-billing reports.
  • Optimize internal processes in the department.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and application of internal controls.
  • Perform various accounting analyses on request from management.
  • Coordinate the process of disbursing loans for construction.
  • Supervise, guide, and develop employees under their responsibility.
  • Disseminate information on the interpretation and application of accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA (asset).
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in multi-enterprise and/or multi-project accounting.
  • Experience in supervising employees.
  • Proficiency in Avantage and Primmo software (asset).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
