Position Overview
Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Clinical Equipment Regional Initiatives Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of the Clinical Equipment and Supplies team, collaborating with various departments to ensure that healthcare professionals have the necessary tools and resources to deliver optimal care to patients, clients, and residents across diverse healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance patient care by promoting standardized practices across various sites, programs, and professions through the integration of evidence-based best practices.
- Guide the development of practice guidelines and program planning that aligns with VCH’s commitment to best practices and improved client access.
- Implement strategies that advance independent professional practice within designated Services/Programs, in line with VCH’s corporate vision and strategic goals.
- Achieve specific objectives for approved initiatives/projects by facilitating team activities, analyzing challenges, and directing project efforts.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to foster knowledge sharing and ensure consistent quality in service delivery.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in a complex healthcare environment, including clinical informatics, program development, education, facilitation, and project leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration with the appropriate provincial college or professional association.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Awareness of available resources for practice, prioritizing quality in all resource utilization decisions.
- Experience in Clinical Informatics.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration and negotiate effective resolutions to practice-related issues.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and practices, sharing knowledge to support the integration of evidence-based practice among Nurses and Allied Health staff.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships to support professional practice and staff development.
- Extensive experience in the development and implementation of clinical practice documents and protocols.
- Thorough understanding of the Health Professions Act.
