About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Road/Residential Concrete Finisher to join our construction team at Holcim. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a vital role in the completion of road and residential construction projects by providing expertise in finishing concrete surfaces to specified standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete placement by setting forms, ensuring proper alignment, and applying necessary coatings or treatments.
- Pour and spread concrete onto prepared surfaces, using tools such as rakes, shovels, and screeds to distribute and level the concrete.
- Finish concrete surfaces to specified textures and finishes, including broom, trowel, and stamped finishes.
- Apply curing compounds or sealants to protect concrete surfaces from damage and ensure proper curing.
- Repair and patch damaged or deteriorated concrete surfaces as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools, such as edgers, jointers, and saws, to shape and finish concrete.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a concrete finisher in road and residential construction projects.
