Position Overview:

As an Altea Wellness Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in member engagement and fitness achievement. Your main responsibility will be to offer tailored fitness consultations, recommend personalized training packages, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance our members' overall experience. You will collaborate closely with members to comprehend their fitness aspirations, monitor their progress, and motivate them to reach their peak potential.

Our Wellness Consultants possess an in-depth understanding of Altea Active's services and amenities, along with their respective benefits. They are well-versed in the unique equipment, classes, and personal training styles we provide. They excel in communication, swiftly establishing rapport and introducing both new and existing members to our diverse fitness offerings. They conduct various biometric assessments to evaluate our members' fitness levels and suggest a customized fitness and health program.

They thrive in a sales-driven environment and are passionate about promoting health and wellness within the community. As individuals and as a cohesive team, they meet business objectives, maintain high closing rates, achieve sales targets, and effectively communicate the advantages of our services, including personal training.

As a Wellness Consultant, your typical day may involve:

  • Conducting one-on-one fitness consultations (Road Map Sessions) to optimally onboard new members towards their fitness goals, including recommending services such as Personal Training, Studio Fitness Classes, Recovery services, and Diamond member privileges.
  • After a member invests in Personal Training, you will facilitate their connection with the most suitable trainer for their objectives, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • If a member does not invest in a New Personal Training Package at the conclusion of a Road Map Session, you will guide them to the next event in the New Member Experience, which may include a Personal Training Demo, Studio Fitness Classes, etc.
  • Engaging in member outreach as needed to fill your schedule with appointments during slower club traffic periods.
  • Consistently collaborating with all departments to enhance the overall member experience.
  • Following up with prospective members with personalized recommendations, as many members appreciate friendly follow-ups to ensure they are on track with their fitness goals.
  • Occasionally assisting in other areas of the club during canceled or no-show appointments, using creativity to generate leads and increase earning potential.

To qualify for this position, you should have:

  • Post-secondary education related to the health and fitness industry.
  • Additional certifications or workshops in sales, marketing, and administration.
  • 1+ years of experience in a sales role is advantageous.
  • Experience in the health and fitness industry is preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification prior to start date, maintained throughout employment.
  • Completion of a criminal background check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
