Job Summary

Dufferin Aggregates, a leading supplier of aggregates for the construction industry in Ontario, is seeking a skilled Laborer to join their team. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, working collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment with other co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve plant objectives.
  • Complete cleanup assignments using shovels and/or small, heavy equipment, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in maintenance inspections and activities, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Operate crushing and screening plant as trained and directed, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Report any malfunctions or safety risks to supervisor immediately, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Experience in construction, mining, or operating heavy machinery is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum Ontario high school diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • Reliability – Showing up to work on time, adhering to scheduled shifts and overtime commitments.
  • Be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Physical ability to walk around the plant, withstanding varied temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Basic maintenance/mechanical aptitude, welding, and fitting are preferred but not required.
  • Dependability – follow instructions and respond to direction, with good communication skills.
