Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team at CB Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Maintain the network within the performance criteria established by the Director, IT Infrastructure Services.
  • Network Cabling: Oversee physical network cabling as per standards and direction.
  • Network Security: Reduce faults by planning, monitoring, upgrading, and securing systems.
  • Network Optimization: Identify opportunities for improvements and propose solutions to reduce the number of IT Support Centre calls through user education, process improvement, and the use of newer technologies.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement testing protocols to validate emergency and disaster preparedness plans; document related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Technical Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level support within agreed timeframes as determined by the Director, IT Infrastructure Services and the Director, IT Support Services.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain network documentation.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Assist in the development of the infrastructure plan and maintenance plan.
  • Process Improvement: Assist with the implementation of new and re-engineered IT processes.
  • Communication: Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, and team members.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in IT or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT; minimum 2 years with Microsoft networking.
  • Skills: Experience in system virtualization (Windows Virtual Server, VM-Ware), WAN/LAN technologies, routers, servers, gateways, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP, Ethernet technology, internet connectivity, web hosting, and intranets.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Licensing: Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
