Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Data and Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Research and Analytics team within the Housing Division, you will play a critical role in developing and supporting an integrated system view of Alberta's affordable housing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, compile, organize, analyze, and report on data to support the core functions of the division.
  • Use research methods and various types of data to answer questions, including administrative datasets, financial data, and qualitative data from surveys.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to answer questions and complete Housing Needs Assessments to determine different housing needs across Alberta communities.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems, using evidence-based research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to provide advice and recommendations on affordable housing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
