Storage Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Systems Engineer to join our team at TD. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, administering, and monitoring storage infrastructure solutions and services.
Your primary focus will be on researching, analyzing, designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining, administering, and provisioning TD's Storage services and systems. You will also be involved in deployment, release management activities, and support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop business cases, RFI/RFP, and service level agreements.
- Conduct research, build solutions, maintain documentation.
- Inspire a positive work environment and champion quality, innovation, teamwork, and service to the business.
- Present complex technical ideas in business-friendly language.
- Proven technical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate root causes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and business trends.
- Design highly available storage systems that meet TD security and compliance policies.
- Collaborate across a large organization to effectively realize outcomes.
- Provide creative thought leadership while listening and engaging others to shape the vision.
- Adapt to new or changing requirements, quickly grasp new concepts, adapt, and reflect on lessons learned.
- Communicate effectively with audiences at all levels.
- Navigate boundaries using knowledge of formal and informal policies and organizational interconnections.
- Cultivate winning relationships by building trust with business and technology partners.
- University Degree or Technical Certificate.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- 4+ years of storage management experience in large enterprises.
- 2+ years of experience with scripting in Ansible, PowerShell, Python.
- Netapp NCDA certification is required.
- Hitachi Content Platform and Azure AZ-900 certifications are assets.
- Provide OnCall Support for deployed infrastructure and Level 1 technical Team.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Storage technology and its upstream/downstream interaction points.
- Extensive project experience with Object and NAS technologies.
- Advanced understanding of Storage Networking concepts.
- Experience with hardware and software storage products and solutions.
- Experience with storage systems in an integrated Unix/Windows environment.
- Good academic background.
- Knowledge of specific domain or range of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of business/organization, its standards, applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices.
- Knowledge and experience in own discipline; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities.
- Appetite for contributing within a complex and critical environment.
- Well-honed, in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
