Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Truck and Trailer Repair Assistant at M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers, including moving equipment and materials as needed.
  • Provide support to tradespersons and other workers during surveying activities, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, demonstrating a strong team player attitude.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Work Environment
  • Permanent position with 35 hours of work per week.
  • Work language: English.
