Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and replenish housekeeping supplies efficiently.
  • Organize and distribute supplies (e.g., linens, food) to designated areas.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment within the unit.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients to various departments.
  • Facilitate the movement of patients and/or furniture within the unit.
  • Deliver and arrange patient meal trays with care.
  • Collect and manage soiled trays appropriately.
  • Provide patient nourishment distribution throughout the unit.
  • Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, lounges, and common areas daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness in utility rooms, pantries, corridors, and nursing stations.
  • Perform waste management and sanitation of garbage containers.
  • Uphold communication with team members and management effectively.
  • Undertake additional related duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience in support services.
  • Strong communication skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately.
  • Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • A positive attendance and work record is essential.
