Position Overview

The role of the Aircraft Mechanical Systems Maintenance Engineer involves ensuring the operational integrity of aircraft systems through rigorous maintenance and repair procedures.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Installation or modification of aircraft engines along with mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.
  • Dismantling of airframes, aircraft engines, or other systems for thorough repair, overhaul, and cleaning, followed by reassembly.
  • Conducting and documenting routine maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Possession of an AME «M» Licence - Aircraft is required.
Industry Experience
  • Experience in the general aviation sector is essential.
Specialization in Mechanical Maintenance
  • Expertise in general aircraft maintenance is preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This position is physically demanding and requires a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is necessary for the tasks involved.
Personal Attributes
  • Ideal candidates will demonstrate accuracy, dependability, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Strong judgment, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a team are crucial.
Experience Level
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • Working language is English.
