About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Highway Indian Bistro. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our dishes are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide culinary direction and leadership to our kitchen team, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and specials.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train our kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Food Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Culture and Diversity: Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in our kitchen, providing training and support to our staff to ensure that we are welcoming and inclusive to all.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
