We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols, including receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the radiology information system, and preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving of acquired data, and monitor patient during procedures and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including scheduling and performing equipment tests, and identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions.
- Develop and maintain statistical data related to department activity levels, attendance, leaves of absence, and performance appraisals, and make recommendations to the Director on how services may be improved.
- Certification with CAMRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and completion of Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice.
- One (1) year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
