Logistics Supervisor Job Description

Lakeside Variety Store is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet customer demands.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on inventory levels, shipping and receiving activities, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of computer equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed by external vendors as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Train workers in duties and policies to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and meet customer demands.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a warehouse environment.
