Job Overview:
As an Information Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the planning, design, development, maintenance, and implementation of efficient information and operational systems that support essential organizational functions, collaborating closely with the Systems Architect.
• Conduct analysis, evaluation, implementation, and support of network hardware, software, and systems.
• Provide assistance for daily operational issues and inquiries.
• Receive technical guidance from senior personnel.
• Oversee the administration of LAN/WAN, including internet connectivity and communication.
• Manage the installation, support, and lifecycle of servers, PCs, printers, and peripherals (including wireless networks and access points).
• Administer disk storage requirements for file and database servers.
• Aid in monitoring and enforcing company standards.
• Collaborate with the Systems Architect on all network modifications and upgrades.
• Create technical documentation and manuals, and assist with user training.
• Ensure system reliability through redundancy, backups, and security measures.
• Manage and support all in-house voice architecture, including maintenance and upgrades of all digital and analog phone systems, modems, and fax lines.
• Oversee the Modatek wireless phone system (Spectralink).
• Ensure adherence to Modatek Systems backup procedures for effective data management.
• Coordinate all internal and external audits in collaboration with the Area Leader.
• Assist ERP analysts with Windows Server and SQL Server issues.
• Support all external network links and WAN connectivity.
• Collaborate with the RF Champion to evaluate, support, and troubleshoot wireless handheld devices, scanners, mobile terminals, and printers.
• Conduct system security checks based on established security checklist tasks under the direction of the Area Leader or Department Leader.
• Assist with server infrastructures at both hardware and software levels.
• Advise on the procurement of hardware, software, and peripherals, coordinating activities with contractors to complete tasks/projects in conjunction with IT Management.
• Uphold Sarbanes-Oxley IT Standards and Best Practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace at all times.
• Comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Quality and Environment programs.
• Post-secondary education in an IT-related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a systems analyst in IT within an automotive or related manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server (versions 2000/2003/2008/2013), Microsoft Server systems (SQL 2000/2005), domain controllers, Active Directory, and networking applications.
• Experience with relational databases (MSSQL) is an asset.
• Familiarity with PowerBI and SSRS is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
