Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Engineer to join our team as an Interior Design and Engineering Specialist. As a key member of our Cabin Interior team, you will be responsible for designing and evaluating new technical concepts and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and design new technical concepts and emerging technologies.
- Validate these concepts in our Innovation laboratory with actual mockups.
- Organize and attend design reviews considering industry regulations, Bombardier Aerospace design practices, and requirements.
- Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal point between Bombardier's multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.
- Prepare different types of Engineering documentation to support the start of design activities.
- Help suppliers understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
- Find and propose opportunities for product and process improvement.
- Review specifications for accuracy across documentation.
- Be mindful of project potential technical issues.
- Support and attend weekly quality and engineering meetings.
- Propose design solutions to change requests from suppliers and/or production.
- Participate in aircraft go and see in production to assess build or installation issues.
- Work with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal PCR impacts.
- Work with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal RFQ impacts.
- Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and upper management.
- Validate certification documents as required to ensure designs comply with regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with up to a maximum of five years of experience.
- Experience working with Catia V5/Enovia/VPM NAV, MS Excel, and Word.
- Relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions (considered an asset).
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- A self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
