Healthcare and Professional Banking Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare and Professional Banking Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare and professional customers, providing expert financial advice and guidance, and identifying opportunities to grow our business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned healthcare and professional customers, including their business needs, financial position, and market trends.
- Provide expert financial advice and guidance to healthcare and professional customers, helping them to achieve their business goals and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with healthcare and professional customers, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, influencers, and referral sources, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, ensuring that our business remains competitive and compliant.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure a total solutions approach, providing comprehensive financial solutions to our customers.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Scotiabank's products and services, ensuring that customers are aware of and can access the solutions they need.
- Conduct thorough credit reviews and make informed decisions on customer credit requests, ensuring that our risk appetite is met.
- Stay organized and focused, managing multiple priorities and deadlines to achieve business objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business law, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven expertise in the healthcare and professional segment, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.
- Expert knowledge of Scotiabank's products and services, including Small Business and Commercial Banking solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines to achieve business objectives.
