Job Summary:
The Injection Molding Specialist will be responsible for operating various equipment to test molds and ensure that the plastic parts produced meet customer specifications and parameters. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in troubleshooting and identifying root causes when parts do not meet established levels of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that molds meet customer requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with test results and recommend solutions.
- Measure parts produced to ensure they meet company limits.
- Operate multiple styles of equipment, including injection molding machines, compressors, chillers, and dryers.
- Install and connect equipment as needed.
- Analyze quality data to optimize process windows.
- Collaborate with program managers and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in plastic injection molding.
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or a related technical program.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to travel frequently, including internationally.
- Technical background in the plastic injection molding industry.
- Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems and controls.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
