This position is primarily based in a home care and visiting care agency, where the focus is on delivering personalized care to patients in their residences.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the cleaning, sterilization, and setup of medical apparatus.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide meal services and assist patients with eating.
- Support patients with mobility, including lifting, turning, and positioning.
- Facilitate communication by delivering messages and specimens between departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms.
- Administer specific medical procedures, including suppositories and enemas.
- Keep track of medical supplies and inventory.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and grooming.
- Transport patients safely between care facilities.
- Respond to patient call signals to address their needs.
- Collect medical specimens as required.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of operative areas.
- Provide first aid when necessary in emergency situations.
This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
