Overview

ASR Group, a leading sugar manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Sr. Process Engineer to join its Canadian Centre of Excellence program. This one-year program is designed to bring international professionals with sugar industry experience up to ASR standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of ASR regulations and processes, including safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Master ASR software functions, such as process control HMI and statistical process control.
  • Access and utilize lab reports, daily shift reports, and other relevant tools to drive process improvements.
  • Familiarize yourself with ASR services, including steam, power, and compressed air supply, and waste water treatment.
  • Monitor plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with ASR standards.
  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, including material, energy, and utility balances.
  • Assist in training operators and participating in safety, quality, and sustainability programs.
Requirements
  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Sugar Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years' sugar industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven leadership and process improvement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
