Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at 2491206 Ontario Inc. as a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance on kitchen operations and food safety procedures.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
  • Physical Capabilities: The candidate must be physically demanding, able to stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication, and the candidate must be fluent in English.
  • Work Hours: The position requires 40 hours of work per week, with overtime required as needed.
