Job Description:

We are working with a major national company, a well-known household name brand, now looking for an experienced In-house lawyer to be second chair to their General Counsel.

This is a truly broad generalist in-house position where you'll be advising the business on a wide range of legal and compliance matters. The legal team is strongly embedded in the company as a true business partner, and they are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience working closely to support a business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice to the business on a wide range of matters, including contracts, privacy, compliance, and risk management.
  • Working closely with the business to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Developing and implementing legal strategies to support business objectives.
  • Collaborating with the legal team to provide comprehensive legal support to the business.

Requirements:

  • Previous in-house experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong contracts background, with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience in privacy, compliance, and risk management matters.
  • French language skills are an asset.
