About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Developer Advocate to join our all-remote team at Grafana Labs. As a key member of our community team, you'll play a vital role in helping users build cool stuff with Grafana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating technical content to educate and empower developers & SREs
  • Building relationships with people across the community to support & inspire
  • Helping be a conduit of what the community is saying to improve the feedback loop between what users need and what Grafana delivers
Requirements
  • Substantial technical experience in a field such as testing, software development, system integration, SRE, monitoring, observability, or operations
  • Collaborative mindset that thrives in a culture of learning and sharing what you learn back to the team and community
  • Background in a technical field such as a BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Technical writing skills, as shown through any form of past written work

We work with a talented team of advocates & community support engineers. Our aim is to help users build cool stuff. If you're passionate about teaching, engaging with the world, and participating in open source communities, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on several programs in front of our community, learn about our technology, and improve education for the community. We're looking for someone who is excited about teaching and engaging with the world in person, on online forums, and in social media.

A big plus for us is if you already participate meaningfully in open source communities such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, or the wider CNCF.

We're an all-remote team, and we're considering candidates in the Canadian Eastern timezone. The base compensation range for this role is CAD 146,409- CAD 175,691.
