Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drilling and Grouting Specialist to join our operations team in Bedford. This role involves both drilling assistance and anchor grouting tasks, contributing to the successful execution of foundation projects.

Responsibilities: Driller's Assistant

  • Conduct safety and maintenance checks on drilling equipment.
  • Set up drilling rigs, hoses, pumps, and other necessary components.
  • Handle drill rods and casing with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout operations.
  • Assist in performing routine equipment maintenance or repairs.
  • Support the driller by managing hoses, drill steel, cuttings, and other materials.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks as required.

Responsibilities: Anchor Grouter

  • Safely lift and handle grout bags for anchor installation.
  • Install threaded bar anchors according to project specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with the drilling team to ensure efficient grouting processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction is preferred.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift/Elevated Work Platform ticket is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

This role primarily involves field work with occasional shop-related tasks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toe boots, and reflective vests are mandatory. Additional PPE may be required depending on the specific work environment.
