Position Overview

destinationone Consulting is partnering with Nanak Foods to identify a skilled Import/Export Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless logistics operations and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with agents and clients to facilitate smooth information flow.
  • Pre-Alerts Management: Enter and dispatch pre-alerts to keep clients and agents updated on air shipment schedules.
  • Status Reporting: Prepare, manage, and distribute comprehensive status reports to clients.
  • Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments in collaboration with airlines, agents, and truckers to provide real-time updates.
  • Document Verification: Ensure the accuracy of essential documents such as bills of lading and preliminary paperwork.
  • Client Updates: Regularly inform clients and agents about the status of their shipments.
  • Pickup Coordination: Organize timely pickups from shippers.
  • Invoice Management: Accurately issue invoices and ensure timely processing.
  • Claims Handling: Address intents to claim by adhering to established procedures.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor pending charges and manage financial transactions with care.
  • Payables Approval: Approve payables in accordance with established financial protocols.
  • Proof of Delivery Dispatch: Manage the dispatch and follow-up of Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
  • File Closure: Ensure accurate and timely closure of files.
  • Client Status Maintenance: Keep the client status report updated and maintained.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues effectively as they arise.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related tasks with commitment and diligence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • CITT and/or CIFFA certifications are considered advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Air Freight Import & Export logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
  • Ability to interpret complex instructions effectively.
  • Customer-oriented with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.
  • A friendly and supportive attitude.
  • Demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, and respect.
