Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our Global Procurement & Supply Management team, you will be responsible for driving competitive category and supply strategies to reduce costs while ensuring perfect execution and risk mitigation across our Training Centers and Flight Training operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global and local procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and support related to category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnering relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support business transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of category strategies, conducting category intelligence research and partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities and channel innovation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Management, Engineering, Operations, or other applicable discipline.
  • Proficient in English, with other languages considered an asset.
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of the aviation market considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, category, and vendor management, purchasing, and/or material management.
