Primary Duties:
- Identify and resolve mechanical problems in commercial vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Execute repairs and preventive maintenance to guarantee the safety, reliability, and performance of commercial vehicles, such as engine overhauls and brake adjustments.
- Replace defective components with original or compatible parts to ensure optimal functionality of commercial vehicles.
- Maintain thorough records of maintenance tasks, repairs completed, and parts utilized to meet regulatory standards and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize tasks, share expertise, and provide outstanding service to fleet managers, drivers, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate with Red Seal endorsement.
- CVI license.
- BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is an asset).
- Possession of personal tools (a required tool list will be provided).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and process-driven environment.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and utilize tools throughout the work shift.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and mechanical software.
