Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a waste collection/recycling vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load curbside materials into the truck, ensuring accurate and timely completion of routes.
  • Observe and adhere to safe work practices, including pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner, meeting or exceeding performance standards.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections, completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario DZ driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
  • Minimum one-year experience driving with a DZ license or an AZ graduate from an accredited driving school.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, with a strong emphasis on physical stamina and endurance.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check, including an MTO medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification, and employment confirmation.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
