About the Role

Fergie's Cafe is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve Customers: Greet customers, take orders, and serve beverages and food in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clean and Maintain the Cafe: Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Train Staff: Assist in training new staff members on cafe procedures and protocols.
  • Manage Inventory: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Process Transactions: Collect cash, credit, or debit payments for beverages and food.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop or food and beverage processing environment.
