Job Title: Wheel Hub Engineer

At Mevotech, we are seeking a highly skilled Wheel Hub Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing wheel hub bearings that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead R&D projects focused on new technologies and concepts for wheel hub bearings
  • Perform competitor benchmarking
  • Assist with manufacturer onboarding and quality management
  • Perform NPI to expand product lines
  • Write and maintain technical documentation including customer assembly drawings, manufacturing details and new product specifications
  • Maintain manufacturing drawing/print database including creating, filing, obsoleting, retrieving and tracking changes
  • Work with peers on validating completed specification & conceptual drawings before submitted to contract manufacturers
  • Resolve supplier concerns
  • Perform root cause analysis on product quality issues
  • Create and implement action plan, lessons learned
  • Re-evaluate products and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Review and complete testing data to quantify improvements that have been made to various designs
  • Create, improve and maintain design standards used for product lines
  • Organize and standardize documents used for internal and external communication
Requirements:
  • Post secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering degree or relatable field
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive hub bearings design
  • 3+ years of working with overseas manufacturers
  • Proven experience working with AutoCAD Inventor
  • Proven experience with APQP
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Previous experience with Product Life Management Software would be an asset
