About the Role

Fernando's Truck and Automotive Shop Ltd. is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in maintaining our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the movement of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicate safety procedures to colleagues and the public, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Provide support to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed by management.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Ability to provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Capacity to provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Ability to provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment
  • Permanent position.
  • English is the primary language of communication.
  • 40 hours per week.
