Key Responsibilities:- Perform hazard and safety analyses to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Apply Alstom's safety processes and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety solutions.
- Contribute to the development of safety procedures and guidelines.
- Provide safety training and support to colleagues.
- University degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in safety engineering.
- Experience in applying safety techniques and methods (PHA, SHA, IHA, OSHA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, QRA, HAZID/HAZOP) for system safety in the railway industry or equivalent.
- Good understanding of System Engineering, Safety, and RAM standards and processes: AREMA, EN50126, EN 50128, EN50129, ISO15288.
- Licensed (or eligible) with Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.).
