Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Capital Finance Analyst
In alignment with the strategic objectives and core values of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Capital Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in coordinating various financial operations that support corporate business initiatives and transformation projects throughout VCH.
Key Responsibilities of the Capital Finance Analyst include:
- Oversee and manage capital budgets along with providing support for capital projects.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of data, including sensitive information, user needs assessments, and the design and implementation of integrated reports for various organizational and departmental initiatives.
- Engage in continuous budgeting processes and collaborate with VCH Financial Planning and Business Support teams for redesign efforts.
- Develop, track, and update Certificate of Approval (COA) requests with the Ministry of Health (MOH);
- Analyze budgets and project future spending.
- Ensure the integrity of database management – create user guides and processes as the lead for capital planning systems.
- Prepare and present reports for senior leadership teams.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of VCH department representatives, other health authorities, and the MOH to standardize reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, supplemented by relevant courses in budgeting and project management.
- At least five (5) years of recent, relevant experience.
- Proficiency in complex financial database systems, project planning, and control is essential.

The work schedule, including days off and work location, may be subject to change based on operational needs and in accordance with the Collective Agreement and applicable regulations. Successful candidates may be required to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
