Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Kimchi House Korean Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support personnel.
    • Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Establish and maintain high standards of food quality and safety, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food meets our standards.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have what we need to operate efficiently.
    • Monitor and control costs associated with inventory and supplies.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive excellent service, including prompt and courteous treatment.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels, sales, and customer feedback.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of kitchen activities, including staff schedules, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

    • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and other hazards.
